MPE surveys
One of the issues EFOMP is dealing with is our relatively limited knowledge about the way in which the Medical Physics Expert role is undertaken in different countries. To gain more data on this, we have developed an online survey and staffing level census for circulation to medical physicists in Europe. We would be very grateful for your participation in both the survey (www.surveymonkey.com/s/mpe) and the census (www.tinyurl.com/efomp-staffing). The staffing level census is aimed at departmental level and to help you complete the census please click here for a PDF version to enable you to gather the required information before submitting the details over the web. This might be useful since some of the data required is quite detailed and there is no partial save option on the web version.
Professional Qualifications Directive
We also would like to draw your attention to the Public Consultation on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications Directive (2005/36/EC) launched by Commission's Internal Market Directorate-General (DG MARKT) from 07.01.2011 to 15.03.2011.
The public consultation is aimed at gathering stakeholders’ views on a modernisation of the Professional Qualifications Directive.
The reform of the system of recognition of professional qualifications as a means to facilitate mobility is one of the priority actions proposed by the Commission in the Single Market Act.
We are sure this would be of interest to the MPE Project Consortium and particularly to EFOMP.
